This place is definitely worth a look. It's a good example of how nature can reclaim our urban environment! Really Cool how a whole tree can swallow a house! There's a cafe and a shop here too.

These place consist of three attractions. First is merchants house which now is the museum of history of trading in Taiwan (you have to start explore the exhibition on the 2nd floor and its timeline will lead you to 1st floor later). And second is Banyan tree house, the most famous ans attractive one in here you could enter and if lucky, sometimes they have temporary events hold inside the house. The last is calligraphy house which really small but also enjoy enough too. There's also have a small cafe where provide beverages and drinks with artist handicrafts and souvenirs for your special one.

The Banyan tree house is spectacular (THE highlight of the place actually). There is a really cool calligraphy place by the entrance. You get to practice inside! The merchant house next door is also informative about its trading history. I feel, not such a good place for young kids (may get bored), but it's a nice, slow leisurely place to go to. Did I mention that the tree is AMAZING?!

A very unique place, huge trees grow among the buildings, the roots tightly glued to the walls, the trunks penetrate through the houses & leaves covering the tops. Very cool & quiet. There is a space for artists or musicians to showcase their creations.

What a beautiful tree house! It is completely occupied by huge trees. Visitors can walk along the boardwalk to the second floor. A shocking beautify. Must visit.
