  This place is style over substance. The food got lost in translation, transition to new management. The food lacked soul and somebody is in it to milk an old brand because location is good. The fish soup was pathetic. No flavor, no depth or complexity. It was almost just water, ginger and a few pre-cut central kitchen fish farmed in some farmed fish factory. The bowl of rice with ground pork was a feeble attempt to make comfort Taiwanese food. Everything was bad about it from making bad rice to simply marrying a bunch of ingredients together with no understanding what they are doing. You get a restaurant producing pathetic food. Don’t get taken by the new decor and the shiny tiled walls. They even use the cheapest materials in the re-design. The folks who run and open this restaurant should be ashamed of what they are doing. At least do something with pride and not just to serve the cheapest ingredients possible with the highest acceptable price.

  There is many traditional fish soup old restaurants in Tainan and this one properly the newest and most modern look one! Their fish soup is really flesh and well made! It is so good to eat with their rice and small dishes! Very healthy feel with family mama taste! Meal with simple ingredients is the hardest to make!

  It's located a few steps away from Hayashi department store. Love its mod and hip interior. I ordered the fish soup with ginger slices and a bowl of multi grained rice. The fish was served in thick slabs and really fresh! The soup was very lightly flavoured and tasted healthy. There was a steady stream of customers coming in the evening so you might want to make a reservation for large groups.

  Was walking by and came across this restaurant famously known for their fish soup (as told by a local). I only know English but luckily was able to sit next to a kind local who helped me with the menu. I ordered the classic fish soup with some rice. $190 NTD for the meal. Was clean & nice inside, also yummy. Shared pictures so you can get by just showing the staff photos.

  We are so fortunate to get a chance to dine in before flying out of Tainan. This places is authentic, manned by a team who is passionate about cooking fresh and healthy foods. The kitchen is spotless (we were sitting at the bar overlooking it). The interior design is bright and cheerful. Love it. Keep up the great work.
