  My mother raved about this place and on my first visit I had a sample of their bread at the forefront of the shop, it was delicious, we wanted to come back and sit down in the cafe section and have a nice relaxing brunch. Upon arriving in the store I watched as my mother was spoken to by the staff with sarcasm and condescension, we have never dined in their establishment and were asking about the high tea and the staff seemed too bored to want to bother explaining or give any advice, they seemed so annoyed to the point that their dead pan voice and face and disrespectful tone were all I can really remember from my entry into the shop, (was it a robot imitation I wonder? You’d think a staff person would want to ultimately sell their product and highlight it’s specialties) I do not think all staff are rude and seemingly untrained, it was empty in the shop, it looks like a high class and lovely cafe and the staff should reflect this with their service. I’m not impressed that they were impatient with an elderly customer, being young is no excuse to be a brat and truly unprofessional. The service disgusts me, the food however was nice, such a shame that a dining experience can be affected so strongly by disrespectful staff. I want to name drop the two staff members that were rude to my mother because it deeply upsets me to see people treat my loved one this way, this way others know that it is not ALL the staff at this cafe that are unkind, however I will hold back and hope that they improve their service for all future customers before someone formally complains. At the end of the day, the food is worth trying, I would not dine in the store again though.

  Paul has good food. But if you're getting stuff to go, as I usually do, they can't do simple things like not putting butter on a sandwich or putting mustard on it. The sit down experience is much better, but I rarely have time for that. Plus, a bit pricey.

  Great brunch and high quality of food. Excellent ambience. Notable service when the server offered the bigger table for our elderly guest before us asking. The thoughtfulness is always the key for another return.

  Cozy and comfy ambience with terrific desserts and drinks. Kind of pricy, though.
