  The priests and parishioners were so friendly and welcoming when we visited, and introduced us as foreigners to all after we attend English mass.

  It is the largest catholic church in Taipei. and provides the silent place for prayer.

  Catholicism was one of the earliest religion here due to the early history with Spanish priests in the 18th century. This one was built in the 60’s and the idea was to construct a holy tent in the field. But you would not believe what we put just a block away from this... Right next to the Catholic church we have… a MOSQUE!! How interesting is that? Here in Taipei we are super chilled about religion in general. The nation is not founded upon religion and historically religion has rarely been causes of wars. You can learn more about this area through the local FREE walking tour called Taipei Chill Out Tour.
