::NT120 for the chicken drumstick lunch that I had, which is quite dear considering the average price of a similar meal in Taiwan. Dine in meals served in a hello kitty metal lunch box. Novelty for the ladies, but the box is not for keeps, and it did not improve the ordinary taste as well. They will sell the metal box to you for NT600, limited only to their store so they said. There was a bottled of chilli on display at the counter. Curiosity got the better of me so I enquired, only to be told rather curtly that they can't describe it. If I wanted to find out, I'd have to eat it myself. I suppose it must be good beyond description, but I did not care to find out.

::For a tourist, the big draw of a bian dang (bento box) is its value. A tielu biandang (bian dangs that were -- and still are -- made for selling on the train) is the staple of these economical (~ 100 TWD) and travel-ready meal boxes. I especially appreciate the English caption on the menu in this store that describes succinctly the differences between the eight meal options.
