::So close to the station. Clean and comfortable. It has the feel of yesta years but renovated.

::The hotel is located across the road from the old Kaohsiung Rear Station (which was a plus point in the past, but irrelevant now that the Rear Station is closed). It's a 10 minutes walk from the current Kaohsiung Train Station and Kaohsiung Metro Station. This is an old hotel that probably has not been renovated for a long time. The room I had was clean, spacious, but the furniture was old, the carpet was worn; some of the drawers did not even function well. The room had adequate lightings, though I'd have preferred more lights. My room was on a high floor, and towards the back of the hotel. The window looked out to the next building and offered not much view. The environment was quiet, though. Internet access speed was surprisingly good (or, better than some other newer hotels): I measured download speed of 55 Mbps! The wifi was mostly stable. Breakfast starts at 6:30 am. The first morning when I arrived at the dining hall, the place was packed and I could hardly find a place to have breakfast. The hotel mainly caters to tour groups (many of them from a neighbouring country), so you'd have put up with the crowd. Breakfast spread was purely Chinese style. They provide Chinese buns and Chinese-style dishes. They only provide hard-boiled eggs cooked in Chinese tea, and not even scrambled eggs or eggs cooked in other styles. The only non-Chinese-style items were the bread! While the room was OK, I would probably not stay here again. With the same price, I could have gotten a hotel at a better location with a better environment.

::This hotel was in a transportation accessible area 2 minutes from the Kaohsiung main train station and metro so was easy to get around town. The area although was quiet at night, but great for sleeping even though my room was facing the main road. I suggest requesting a room above the 6th floor. Opposite the hotel, the area is currently under construction but seems like not much was being done however hotel room windows are double glazing so l couldn’t hear anything. I presume it’ll be will be noisy once full construction commences. Staff service from reception to house keeping had been fabulous throughout my stay. Breakfast was Asian style and plentiful. My room was cleaned everyday with toiletries and beverages replaced daily. My bed was like a queen size, spacious and bathroom was a good size. I would be happy to stay here again.

::Clean, near Kaohsiung train station. Breakfast acceptable. Good quality service.

::Not as clean, we had a room which stunk with cigarette smell and had to swap rooms. The staff were spraying the lifts with a very strong smelling air freshener that was almost toxic. Breakfast bar was small and simple. The staff was helpful and friendly though. There is a OK mart convenient store nearby.
