::Edit: After Staying here for 4 nights I feel I need to add these important edits to my review: On AirBnb: Switch location type to private room. On the final booking, I was asked to repay the room fee after the owner claimed my confirmed booking was somehow not paid for despite confirmation from Airbnb. This goes against rules of Airbnb that insure safety, ease and security for users. I was handed a phone by the cleaner; who is quite the cheerful personality and seems to be running the place and just conveying the owners messages. Tne owner used this method of communication instead of using the actual Airbnb app which is normally always used. Using alternative apps for messaging also gives users no proof of conversation with the owner whether that be a fight, compromise, whatever, and I would recommend always reporting those who violate AirBnB policy. I didn’t have much cash on me at that moment and had already paid, yet the owner found it appropriate to bypass the app, and request I finance the room agajn with cash, essentially without record of payment and under the table, when my app payment would have still been processed. Address issues with soundproofing in rooms. Rooms have almost NO soundproofing. The material between this room and the next in the bathroom is nothing more then essentially sheet metal. I could hear every single cough with the same acoustics and every single laugh or scream the first night I arrived. While this may not seen like a huge deal at first, let’s be real with this. A place in which you have to tiptoe around, speak at a whisper or low volume , refrain from watching TV or taking a bath during the nighttime, despite paying your good earned money for, does not say privacy or comfort to me, and definitely, definitely is not an entire space as advertised on AirBnb. Complete lack of a local Phone in ANY of the guest rooms. Place either a central phone in the location where users can’t contact, or in each room. What do you expect foreigners are to do when faced with an emergency situation in your location and they do not have a Taiwanese sim card yet? Bathtub chains and ball should not be locked to the grill at the bottom of the bathtub. Curtains for window seperators between bedroom and bathroom are not equal and do not provide full privacy. Electrical outlets: There are electrical outlets next to the toilet in the washroom, yet there are none remotely near the bed, nor are there electrical extension cords or usb charge outlets. When walking into the bathroom your basically going to wall right into a laundry machine first. Guests should also be provided with detergent balls or provided a chance to buy if needed. The water heating capacity is not enough to even fill half of the bathtub, also conditioner is not supplied. Man I thought it was really nice. Is a B^]#tch to find, yes, but it’s just basically forget all the other instructions. Get yourself to Uniqlo in Ximending. Once your standing in front of Uniqlo, just go down the road to the right of you, at the crossroads turn right, then keep looking to your left you’ll see Oyama cafe, and the sketchiest alley in life, walk Once you’re there it’s good. There’s like a cute JP style bath, a washer in the bathroom, you can hang your clothes up and stuff, it’s small yes, but like it’s decent and on the weekdays with Airbnb it’s really inexpensive. I don’t have any complaints but I can understand why the vast majority of visitors to Taiwan would feel mad afterwards because they can’t find it or it took a long time lol. I’ve been in Taiwan six years now so I’m kinda accustomed to Taiwanese standards now but the only issue I can see being an issue is the location and maybe the rooms kinda small. Other then that I mean, I’d stay again. Oh and also there’s no windows besides in the bathroom and there won’t be sunlight cause your still in sketch alley lol. Enjoy your stay
