::We walked through the park pretty late at night after coming from Yizhong night market so we didn't really see much but we were still able to take a few nice pics because of the sparkly lights.

::Built by the Japanese it has been constantly updated, but still keeps beauty and charm. Adding new facilities like for public exercising and events it has arrived in the 21st century. Please watch out the animals like squirrels and ducks, they are wild.

::Became familiar with the park while with the U.S. Air Force at Ching Chuan Kang ROCAFB in 1970-1971. Taichung Park became a "go-to" destination on weekends. The people I met were always friendly and helpful to a young man 12,000 miles from home. Would love to return someday to Taichung.

::Lovely park to walk around. Can be quite busy but it's really pleasant if you go at a quieter time. Turtles, fish, birds and squirrels to be seen. You can go boating on the lake and there are nearby shops for convenience. Can be nice for a night time stroll.

::This is a very clean and well kept park in the middle of the Taichung city. Great for walking around and enjoying a nice morning with your loved ones. There is a nicely sized lake in the middle too and you can rent a small boat and row around it for an hour for NT$300. Lots of domesticated squirrels and doves in the park as well.
