::I can't say for the male dormitory located in the basement, bit the 6 ppl mixed bedroom upstairs is quite pleasant. You have your own cell much like a cell in a bee hive. But I must admit the blinds does prevent air from circulating well. The air-conditioning isn't working properly, warm and humid plus lack of fresh air making me hard to fall asleep.

::Don't be deceived by those beautiful photos! They are very partial and biased! That's not for male!!! The male dormitory is ghetto ! Male dormitory is in basement, mattress is very hard and quilt a bit dirty! No lockers for male travelers to keep their valuables safe! The most exaggerated is that the shower room is moldy and stink! It's a nightmare to live here and I am not going to visit here forever! By the way, there is no tv for male visitors!

::The mattress was so thin it almost wasn't there. The Wi-Fi frequently dropped, though speeds were tolerable. The location was clean, but the mattress made nights extremely uncomfortable

::Has everything you need, simple. Very friendly and efficient staff just like all the people in Taiwan. Clean, not at all pricey, if in dorms - good neighbors, mostly seem to be fellow Taiwanese passing by. Might feel a little like sleeping on rock as the mattress is as thin as the blanket but that only gets in the way if you are planning on staying put and not leaving the hostel for some exploring ( not recommended ). Nice front 'porch', cute dogs outside to (not) pet and always a senior lady to be greeted by when feeling especially lonely.
