  Vendome East Inn is probably an offshoot of Vendome Inn just a few units away so don't get confused! This smaller cousin (I'm guessing) resides on the upper levels of an old building. Which is why to find it can be a little tricky for some as the lift lobby looks a little worn and seemingly the entrance to a series of nightclubs on the upper floors. But don't worry. Take the lift up to the 8th level and on your left will be the friendly staff who will greet you. My check-in and check-out process was smooth and easy though I couldn't check-in till 3pm. I arrived in Taipei at 7am so my bad. I asked for some recommendations where I can hang out but I ended up strolling around the area. It was filled with chichi eateries but I went to the familiar Macdonald's for breakfast and some wifi. As much time as I took, I still went back to the hotel at 10am to ask if I could pay to check-in earlier. Alan, the friendly concierge, told me he will do what he can to give me a room at 12pm without charge. So off I went and when I came back at 12.30pm, my room was ready for me! Thank you Alan and cleaning ladies! So the room faced the street junction so I got a nice look over the Zhonghua Fuxing area though my other views were of neighbouring alleys. The room was stylishly designed and quite sexy what with all the huge windows (even in the bathrooms) and mirrors and reflective surfaces. It was all in all very comfortable though the wifi is a little wonky and temperamental. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend it for the average traveler or couples wanting a sexy stay. :)

  the hotel was in a perfect location to get into the town, in a road full of restaurants, clubs, shops. the mrt stop is in front of the hotel, making the location very convenient to move anywhere during the hot summer in the city. unacceptable decision to keep this kind of hotel in accorhotel group, since the appearence of the hotel is quite far from the standard of the accorgroup. the location is the typical one of the motels, hotels at hours for night activities. not suitable for a grouphotel like accor.

  It's more like a motel for travellers. The room (I think I got the standard double bed) is small, don't have any cupboard for clothes. No safe for your valuable. So it's just a room with bed and small toilet attached. Generally looks clean, but I have doubts as there is a ktv on the 3rd floor I believe for also picking up ladies. If you know what I mean. I recommend the RF hotel near by. But they have a 24 hrs Watson down stairs and it's near the metro which is a plus. The place is ok if you just need a place to sleep and shower. But during my 10 days business trip, I didn't want to stay in that room more than required, as there is no windows and its like a prison to me. I think hotel 81 in Singapore are much better...
