  三重區古色古香的五穀王廟，為三級古蹟。廟中主要祭祀五穀王，也就是神農大帝。附近的路名看起來也都以此命名，像是神農街、五谷王北街、五谷王南街。會取名先嗇似乎是由古代八蜡之首之稱而來，八蜡之首稱作先嗇，也就是神農。會來先嗇宮是因為捷運中和新蘆線的迴龍線有一站叫先嗇宮站，聽捷運上的報站廣播才注意到它的讀音，是先ㄙㄜˋ宮(Sianse Temple)而非先ㄑㄧㄤˊ宮(Sianchiang Temple)，騎自行車經過省道1號時看到先嗇宮贊助建造的天橋，於是好奇心起，就彎進五谷王北街一睹先嗇宮的風采。先嗇宮前殿高度不高，看起來有種古典的美感，後殿則是日後修建的，高度挑高許多，雖然氣派但有失其古韻。進去先嗇宮才發現裡面祀奉的媽祖是大甲媽祖，同時也祭祀許多神明。入口處有紀念品與餅乾結緣品可以購買，紀念品包括先嗇宮悠遊卡，還滿特別的。不過先嗇宮與捷運先嗇宮站有一小段距離，搭捷運前往要先留意一下路線。

  Temple worships Great Agriculture God, and it seems to be fit into the community which was mainly farming families, although nowadays, the area has been converted and developed into mix use of the industrial and residential area. Around the temple, not much farming activities can be found nowadays. However, to attract and to retain believers or worshipers, like most of other Taiwanese temples, the temple also worships Taoist and Buddhist gods and goddesses, although folklore belief and goddess/ gods are also worshiped. On the day of my visit, 04/23/18, Taipei Time, the temple was preparing for Agriculture God Celebration and parade, and there will be a dinner feast of 25 tables [about 250 participants from temple followers or donors] after parade. For going to the temple, visitors can take Taipei MRT Subway Yellow or "O" Line, get off at Station O-16 station and walk for about 7 to 8 minutes. However, there is NO sidewalk specific for pedestrians from subway station to the temple, and visitors may have to deal with numerous motorcycles and air pollution issue.. Although temple staff is friendly, the Temple does not have English brochure for the visitors, even though it does provide worship merchandises, free of charge, for any persons..
