The British Consular Residents at Takow is an interesting place to visit. It’s not that big as I though but the view is just so pretty! You can see the whole Kaohsiung from the hill. The entrance is pretty cheap and bring your student ID if you have. You can have your tea time on the hill with you friend of family. The price is a bit high and the day I visited, the ac is broke. And the price for the British afternoon tea is a bit high. Still a cool place to visit anyway.

Nice view of Kaohsiung from the former consulate residence. Not a lot of historical information panels but could still give you an idea of what the importance of the place is. Might want to join the tour if you are really interested in the historical stories. Nice place for sunset as well.

This is the most beautiful and historical building in old Takao. The consulate complex consists of upper and lower parts on the hill. This place has a great view. The architecture is also very British. Because the hot and humid weather, this building is carefully designed to adapt the climate there.

A museum this is not. Although the harbor views are nice, the dearth of historic information and interpretation made for a disappointing visit. It's mostly a glorified restaurant and mediocre gift shop, and for some reason, the ceilings have been ripped out. Worth the $99nt admission fee, but those seeking to learn much or experience the past should keep low expectations.

This is a must go tourist place in Kaohsiung due to it's rich history and spectacular view of the sea and harbor. You may take the subway and walk for 20 minutes to reach here or take a bus from the subway station. There are 2 sections here. The downhill section is about the ex-UK consulate and the uphill section was used to be the living house of he consult.
