  Smokey Joe's, once an iconical place to get western fare in Kaohsiung has lost its lustre. Overpriced, generic food. Only saving grace is that it is open late.

  Ribs and nachos were awesome. Onion rings and calamari a bit soft. Could be crispery.

  Food is made Tex-Mex-Taiwanese style. Decent food items, consistent quality and delicious. Have been eating here since its was built. Those expecting Tex-Mex would be caught off guard by garlic and scallions in salsa or using BBQ pork in burritos. Overall a curious but enjoyable experience in its food.
